BACKGROUND: On 28th Apr 1939 the stamp shown below was issued to commemorate National Labour Day. The design once again is from a photograph by Hitler's personal photographer Heinrich Hoffman and depicts Hitler during his "German Day" speech earlier in the year on January 30th. A special handstamp and an official postcard were also issued to celebrate this National holiday.
