BERLIN POSTAL SHOW
PP122-C-116 and PP127-C-55

BACKGROUND: These two private issue postcards were published to commemorate the Berlin Postal Show held on 23rd and 24th Nov 1940.

PP122-C-116 has a 3Rpf indicia stamp and PP127-C-55 has a 6RPf indicia. Both cards also exist with similar pre-printed stamps over printed with 'Elsaβ'. These additional cards also have a black overprint inscribed "Tag der Briefmarke | zum ersten male | im befreiten Elsaβ" - 'Stamp Day for the first time in liberated Alsace'
