BACKGROUND: This series of postcards was issued to commemorate the German Colonial Exhibition held in Vienna from 10th to 30th Jun 1940 and they were produced by Verlag des Reichskolonialbundes in BERLIN.

SONDERSTEMPEL: There was a special handstamp available at the show inscribed "WIEN | 10.-30. Juni 1940 | Deutsche Kolonial austellung" which can be seen on the examples below.
