DANZIG STRUGGLE for JUSTICE

BACKGROUND: This is a series of postcards highlighting the struggle for the port city of Danzig to regain its freedom. As part of the Treaty of Versailles at the end of the First World War Danzig was designated a free port and no longer under German control. The reinstallation of the city to German rule was one of the Nazi's key objectives.
This series of cards was published by Danziger Verlags-Gesellschaft m.b.H Danzig and there are at least six cards in the set.
