600th ANNIVERSARY OF PARDUBICE
(1940)

BACKGROUND: This postcard commemorates the 600th Anniversary (1340 - 1940) of he Czech city of Pardubice. The image in the centre is the "Green Gate", the remnants of the city's old fortifications. The image of the horse in the bottom left is a reference to the city's renown as a hose racing venue.
