(1st May 1939)

BACKGROUND: 1st May 1939 - There were at least 5 May Day postcards with a very similar design to this one printed in 1939. This particular example is one of two from The Sudetenland, others are from Berlin and Austria.

Verlag Th. König produced at least two postcards for the 1939 My Day celebrations. The first card, shown below is in landscape format and the second, almost identical card is in portrait format. Neither card had a pre-printed stamp.
