KRIES FESTIVAL of the NSRL
(11th/18th Jun 1939)

BACKGROUND: The postcard was issued to commemorate the 1st Kries Festival of the N.S.R.L (Reichsbund für Leibsübungen) held from the 11th to the 18th Jun 1938 in the city of Bremen. The NSRL was a Nazi umbrella organisation responsible for all aspects of sport in Germany.

This second version was created from unsold stock of the original card but now overprinted for 'The Day of the Stamp' in 1943.
