IRON CROSS

BACKGROUND: Issued on 8th Nov 1939. Special postcard "Iron Cross" with a pre-printed 5Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp. The front shows an image of the Iron Cross with a golden oak leaf. As well as this version there was also another version by Hoffmann that did not have a pre-printed stamp. In addition, two additional versions appeared in 1940 for a total of at least 4 different versions.
