BACKGROUND: Sponsored by the München Gau to raise funds for the Winter Relief Fund on 8th Jan 1939. The inscription reads 'Opfer? Nien!' or 'Sacrifice? No!' and 'DANK SOLLES SEIN' or 'THANKS SHOULD BE'. The image is of a cherub holding a donation tin and a heart in the background. The card was published by Union Druckerei GmbH, Stuttgart.

The following domestically used card has a special slogan cancellation used in MUNICH on 15th Jan 1939. The slogan was used to commemorate 30 years of postal checks.


The next card was also posted in MUNICH, this time without a special slogan cancel, on 18th Jan 1939 and was destined for ARNSTADT.
