INVALID USAGE

1. The following example is a philatelic creation posted locally in DÜSSELDORF on 12th Jan 1941. P282 was only valid until 31st Dec 1940 so the cancellation date is after the valid date. The self-adhesive stamps that have been applied are rather random, much more than was required for a local delivery and aren't directly tied to the issue of this postcard. This example has a special "Tag der Briefmarke" - 'Day of the Stamp' postmark used only for one day in 1941.
