BACKGROUND: This postcard is inscribed "Schulter an Schulter" - 'Shoulder to Shoulder' and was published to commemorate "Das Treffen deutscher und Osterreichische Frontsoldaten 1914/1918 in Wels, Ober-Oesterreich" - 'The meeting of German and Austrian soldiers at the front in 1914/1918 in Wels, Upper Austria'.

The reverse of the card is inscribed "Verschofen auf den 17. und 18. Juli 1937. Postkarte" - 'Postponed to July 17th and 18th, 1937'
