REICHSTAGUNG der N.S.G "KRAFT DURCH FREUDE"
(10th/13th Jun 1937)

BACKGROUND: This postcard was sponsored by the Deutsche Sammler-Gemeinschaft (German Collectors' Association) of the Kraft Durch Freude (K.d.F or Strength Through Joy) organisation. The meeting was held between 10th and 13th Jun 1937 in HAMBURG.

The front of the card depicts a reichs adler with outstretched wings and two inscriptions: "Reichstagung 1937 | der NSG "Kraft durch freude" and "Deutsche Sammler-Gemeinschaft".

The reverse side has an image of ships in HAMBURG harbour and the inscription "Schiffe der KdF.-Flotte bei der Ausfahrt aus dem Hamburger Hafen" - 'Ships of the KdF fleet leaving the port of Hamburg'

SONDERSTEMPEL: A special handstamp was used in HAMBURG during the event that was inscribed "HAMBURG | 10.-13.6.1937 | Reichstagung N.S.-G Kraft durch Freude"

The postally used example below was cancelled using the related SST and was sent to an address in YUGOSLAVIA. The total postage paid was 15 Rpf which was the correct amount for sending this card overseas
