5th NATIONAL CONVENTION OF OVERSEAS GERMANS
(28th Aug/5th Sep 1937)

BACKGROUND: This postcard commemorates the 5th National Convention for Overseas Germans held in Stuttgart from 28th Aug to 5th Sep 1937. The convention, now in its 5th year, was organised by NSDP-AO (where the AO refers to Auslands-Organisation, Foreign Organisation). The AO was founded on 1st May 1931 and was only open to German passport holders living overseas, Germans living overseas that had surrendered their passports were not eligible to join.
