BACKGROUND: The example below is the orginally issued postcard from 1935, it does not have the Ka-Be stamp in the upper left-hand corner and neither does it have the "Tag der Briefmarke" text.

TAG DER BRIEFMARKE
Ka-Be STAMP ALBUM CO.
(10th Jan 1937)

BACKGROUND: Published to commemorate the 'Day of the Stamp' by the Ka-Be Stamp Album Company in 1937. The front of the card features a Ka-Be stamp in the upper left-hand corner and below that is the inscription "Tag der Briefmarke". The reverse of the card has an image of 4 rows of stamp albums. Below the image is the text "PAUL KOCH G.M.B.H ASCHERSLEBEN | Herstellung und verlag der "KA-BE" Briefmarken Alben".

This postcard is a re-issue of the 1935 card above that did not have the "Tag der Briefmarke" text or Ka-Be stamp in the upper left-hand corner.




There was a second version of the 1937 Tag der Briefmarke card as can be seen below. As well as the "Tag der Briefmarke" text there is an additional "Eberhard Meyer | Halle a.S | Martinstraβe 11 | Fernruf 36375 | Briefmarkenhandlung" inscription. The stamps on the example below are a block of four from the privately printed Ka-Be 3 Rpf sheets.
