CIVIL AIR DEFENCE

These postcards were probably published in 1937. The message was to highlight the very important work of the Civil Air Defence league. The cards were sponsored by the Reichsluftschutzbund (RLB).

The cards have a quote on the reverse side by Hermann Goring "Der kämpfer für den Luftschutz hat soviel Verantwortung und soviel Ehre wie ein jeder Frontsoldat!" - 'The air-raid fighter has as much responsibility and honor as any front-line soldier!'

The first card below has the special handstamp that was used in MUNICH to commemorate the 5th Year of the RLB.
