ERSTE DEUTSCHER BEAMTENTAG
FIRST OFFICIALS DAY
(18th/24th Oct 1937)
BACKGROUND: There were two postcards issued to commemorate the German Government Official's Day in 1937. PP127-C-31-01 has a red background, PP127-C-31-02 has a yellow background and both have a 6Rpf Hindenburg Medallion pre-printed stamp. They were both published by Gebr. Rath of Stuttgart and bear the inscription "Wir dienen dem Deutschen Volk" - 'We serve the German people'.
Both cards also have the inscription "ERSTER DEUTSCHER BEAMTENTAG | IN DER HAUPTSTADT DER BEWEGUNG | VOM 18.BIS 24. OKTOBER 1937" - 'FIRST GERMAN OFFICIAL DAY | IN THE CAPITAL OF MOVEMENT | FROM 18 TO 24 OCTOBER 1937'.
