The STEEL HELMETS CONFERENCE

This postcard was published to commemorate the Reichsführer Conference of the Steel Helmet Association of Frontline Soldiers held in Hannover on 23rd and 24th Sept 1933. The front of the card features a portrait of Prussian General Gerhard von Scharnhorst. The 'Steel Helmet, League of Frontline Soldiers' or 'Der Stahlhelm, Bund der Frontsoldaten' or 'Der Stahlhelm' for short, was a German first World War ex-servicemen's organization which existed from 1918 to 1935.
