6Rpf HINDENBURG MEDALLION STAMP

Broad graduation (three lines) down the centre. Five-line sender's note with a height of 24.5mm. There are two variations of P218: Type 'I' has a straight edge whilst Type 'II' has a serrated edge.

Versions of the official card can be found with private overprints.

This first privately printed P218 card was sponsored by KURT HORN of DRESDEN. This example was cancelled in GETHAIN on 8th Jun 1933. The reverse side of the card has a table which could be used to order the company's products.

This P218 has additional text on the front side only. In the destination section is the inscription "Firma | Gebr. Rasch | Chemische Werke | Berlin S59 | Diffenbachstr. 35". There are an additional 7 lines of text below the sender's details on the left-hand side of the card.

This P218 has additional text on both the front side and the reverse of the card. In the destination section is the inscription "Herrn | Eduard Diederichs | Zigarrenfabrikant |Bremen". Still on the front side, there is an additional 7-line inscription beginning "Garantie:" and ending "Bemerkung:".

The reverse side has a table which appears to be a way of listing items to order.

This P218 also has additional text on both the front side and the reverse of the card. In the destination section is the inscription "An | Kaffee = Schilling | Schilling & Sohn | Bremen | Weserbung". Still on the front side, there is an additional 2 lines of text on the lower left-hand side of the card.

The reverse side has a table which again appears to be a list of items that someone might wish to purchase.

This P218 card has additional text on both the front and the reverse of the postcard. The destination section reads "Firma | P. Bruhn | Briefmarken-Grosshandlung | Hamburg 4 | Wilhelminenstraβe". There is an additional black box comprising 5 thick, dark lines, and additional very small text to the right of the box. The reverse side of the card is completely filled out with text beginning "Sehr geehrter Herr!".

700th ANNIVERSARY HERINGSWALDE

This P218 card commemorates the 700th Anniversary of the town of Herigswald. The card is the same as a regular P218 only now with an image on the left-hand pane, below the sender's details, that depicts the town in a panoramic view in reddish brown ink. There is no additional text.

There are two versions of this is P218 card. They have additional text in the destination section. Type 1 reads "Karlsruher | Lebensversicherungsbank A.G | Karlsruhe i.B | Kaiferallee 4" and Type 2 is identical except it does not have the fourth line of text "Kaiferallee 4""

BERNHARD PRELLER

Another P218 card that exists in two versions. They both have additional text in the destination section that reads "Marine-Versandhaus | Bernhard Preller | Fabrikation und Versend von | Original Kleier Matrosen-Kinder-Anzügen | Marine-Tuchen, Yachtkiubsergen | und Ausrüstungen | KIEL" - 'Navy Mail Order | Bernhard Preller Manufacturing and shipping of | Original Kleier sailor children's suits | Navy cloths, yacht kiubsergen | and Equipment | KEIL'. The only difference between the Type 1 and Type 2 is the small alphanumberic character in the bottom left-hand corner of the front of the card: Type 1 has a 'K' and Type 2 has a 'Z'

The reverse of the cards is taken up completely with 10 lines of text and 5 dotted horizontal lines.

This P218 card does not have any additional text, instead it has a brown image below the sender's information which is titled "MARKTBREIT AM MAIN" and features a simple map that indicates the various routes to the venue.

TELEFUNKEN

This P218 card has additional text in the destination section that reads "An Die | TELEFUNKEN | Gesellschaft fur drahtfose Telegraphie m.b.H | ABTEILUNG KLANGFILM | MÜNCHEN 2 NO | Liebigstrasse 20:22". Below the sender's section is a small table. On the reverse the card has been completely used up with 11 lines of text and two small logos, one "KLANGFILM" and the other "TELEFUNKEN".
