BACKGROUND: There were five postcards published to commemorate the Philatelist's Ball, held in the BERLIN Zoological Gardens on 20th Jan 1931. The cards all feature a 5Pf HINDENBURG pre-printed stamp and the inscription "Philatelistenball | am 20. Januar 1931 | im Marmorsaal | des Zoologischen Gartens | zu Berlin". The cards were valid for use until 31st Dec 1935.
