BACKGROUND: Issued on 10th Aug 1931. Special postcard for Constitution Day and to commemorate the day of death (June 26, 1931) of the Prussian First Minister of State Carl Freiherr vom und zum Stein. New arrangement of the form with 5 address lines. Left upright rectangular head of Stein in line drawing with the years 1831-1931 and signature. Form brown.
VALIDITY: From 10th Aug 1931 until 31st Dec 1932 (Needs to be confirmed)
As well as the official card there were official cards with additional private printing.

1. The example below was posted in STUTTGART on 11th Aug 1931 and was destined for CANNSTATT.2. The next example was actually a local usage in MANNHEIM on 8th Sep 1931.
3. Posted in KIRCHHEIM on 16th Oct 1931 the card below was sent to an address in STUTTGART
4. As with the example above the following card was also sent from KIRCHHEIM to STUTTGART, this time on 14th Aug 1931
5. The following example was sent from KRUMBACH to NÜRNBERG on 27th Aug 1931.
6. Cancelled in HAMBURG on 13th Aug 1931 the following card was sent to the spa town of BAD AUSSEE in AUSTRIA.
7. The next domestic long-ditance usage was from HEIDENHEIM to an unknown town on 12th Aug 1931.

1. Posted in HALLE (SAALE) on 30th Sep 1931 the foreign used example below was sent to a company address in NAPOLI, ITALY. The card has 18 Rpf of postage which was more than the 15 Rpf that was required.SWITZERLAND
1. This example sent on 20th Jan 1932 was destined for an address in ZURICH, SWITZERLAND and is correctly franked with 15 Rpf postage.REGISTERED DELIVERY CARD

SPECIAL SLOGAN CANCELS
1. The card was posted in a spa town called BAD NAUHEIM on 9th Dec 1931 and was sent to HAMBURG. The special slogan cancellation reads "BAD-NAUHEIM | DAS HERZ- | HEILBAD | DER WELT" - 'BAD NAUHEIM | THE HEART- | HEALING BATH | OF THE WORLD'. This slogan was one of several similar slogans used in the town, this particular version being used every year from 1930 until 1937. There are two versions of this city stamp, the one below and another with the 'g' at the bottom in the middle and no stars.[BOCHMANN: Heft: 2, Page: 66, No: 66]
2. As with the card above this example was also posted in BAD NAUHEIM but now on 19th Aug 1931. The special slogan cancellation is also the same as the one above.
3. Posted in BERLIN-CHARLOTTENBURG on 18th Feb 1932 this card was sent to RATHENAU. The special slogan cancellation on this example reads " Gedenkt der | DEUTSCHEN | VOLKS-SPENDE | für GOETHES | GEBURTSSTÄTTE" - 'Commemorates the | GERMAN | PEOPLE’S DONATION | for GOETHES | BIRTHPLACE'. This slogan was used in BERLIN, DUSSELDORF, ESSEN, FRANKFURT (MAIN), HAMBURG and KÖLN in 1931 and 1932.

4. Destined for ZITTAU this card was posted in GÖRLITZ on 12th Aug 1931. The slogan reads "Im Postkraftwagen | in die Sächsische Schweiz" - 'In the postal truck to Saxon Switzerland' and it was used in DRESDEN, GÖRLITZ and RIESA in 1927, 1929 - 1931 and then again in 1934 and 1935

5. The card below was posted in HALLE (SAALE) on 7th Dec 1931 and wassent to ZWICKAU. The special slogan cancelleation appears to be a Christmas / New Year greeting [NEEDS MORE RESEARCH].
6. The following card was posted in BAUTZEN on 21st Sep 1931 and features a very common special cancellation which encourages the public to include the house and street number on their postal items.
