MOTHER & CHILD
This postcard depicts a mother and child looking up at the sun which is formed by the initials of the R.G.W (Reichsgesundheitswoche) - Reich Discovery Week. The text on the front of the card translates as:
Reich Discovery Week. The aim of the R.G.W is, during one week in Germany, to raise general awareness of the importance of health care, to deepen health education on a community basis, and to strengthen each individual's sense of personal responsibility for their health obligations.
This card was published by Druck & Verlag Martini of Stuttgart and at first glance the two cards below appear to be identical. However, a closer look indicates that the font used for the word "Postkarte" is different and, although the text on the front of the cards is identical, it occupies 9 lines on the card on the left and only 8 lines on the card on the right. The design of the line above the word 'Mitteilingen' also differs on both cards.
