ROHRPOST UMSCHLÄGE

BACKGROUND: RU12 was issued in 1926 and was the last Rohrpost envelope issued. It features a violet 40Rpf stamp picturing Gottfried Wilhem Leibniz. The words "Rohrpost=Brief" appear on the top left of the card.

Two versions exist:

RU12/01: Berlin Printing.
RU12/02: Munich Printing.

The card also features a border consisting of 3 parallel lines which extend all the way around the card.
