BADISCH-WÜRTTEMBURGISCHER
SAILING COMPETITION

BACKGROUND: There were three postcards issued to commemorate this event, each one with a pre-printed 5Rpf Reichsadler stamp. The reverse of the cards has the following inscription on the front side top left-hand edge:

"Badisch=Württembergischer | Segelflugwettbewerb 1926" - 'Baden = Württemberg | Gliding competition 1926'

There is also a "Offizielle | Postkarte" inscription just to the right of the vertical divider.

SPECIAL CANCEL: a special cancellation was available that was inscribed "BAD-WÜRTT. SEGELFLUGWETTBEWERB | MÜLHAUSEN | Amt Pforzheim" and featuring an image of a glider flying over hills.

This first card depicts a man on a hill watching three gliders flying across the sky with his binoculars.

This second card sees two children watching four Gliders.
