Issued: 28th Jul 1916. Published due to the increase in the reduced local postage for Wurttemberg, and for domestic postage through the introduction of a War Tax (so-called Reichsabgabe) on 1st Aug 1916. With watermark. The image of Germania on the value stamp is with an unshaded (plain white) background.
In addition to the official card there were a number of P109 postcards that were privately overprinted, a selection of which can be found below.

1. Private overprint includes "Zentralstelle zur verbreitung guter deutscher Literatur, Winnenden Württ" - "Central office for the dissemination of good German literature, Winnenden Württ".
2. The following private example is inscribed "Prinzessin ohne Land" - 'Princess without a country' advertising a novel by Viktor Helling.
