Issued 1900. Without any control codes, ie no publisher's mark, no watermark, and without gaps in the dotted destination address lines.

The Message side has 'Deutsche Reichspost | Postkarte' in the centre of the card. 'An' is all the way to the left and 'In' is between the 'An' and 'Postkarte'. On the bottom left is the inscription "Die Angebogene | Karte ist für die | Antwort | bestimmt.". Note the "K" of "Karte" is closed unlike P55 and P56 where the "K" is open.

The Answer side is the same design except for the inscription '(Antwort)' is added below 'Postkarte' and the "Die Angebogene | Karte ist für die | Antwort | bestimmt." inscription is no longer present.

As well as the official postcard there were many other versions published with private printing.

OTHER P54 CARDS IN MY COLLECTION

1. This card from my collection was sent to ALLENSTEIN and was cancelled in BERNCASTEL on 24th Mar 1902. The answer portion has the address added but no message was written and it was never resent.
