BACKGROUND: Issued 1920 and measuring 140 x 90mm. This is the only official Kartenbrief that has a 40 Pf, brick red, pre-printed, Bavarian stamp, with two-line overprint "Deutsches | Reich". There is a date code "20" in the lower left-hand corner of the card.
