GERMAN NATIONAL PEOPLE'S PARTY
(1928)
This postcard was published by National Verlag Otto Göddertz of Berlin, for the German National People's Party (Deutschnationale Volkspartei, DNVP) and bears the inscription "Erhebe dich, mein Vaterland" - 'Rise up my Country' and was likely produced to encourage the population to vote for them in the upcoming election. If that's the case then it was not a successful campaign, as the party's share of the vote fell from 21% in 1924 to 14% after the 20th May 1928 election campaign.
This postcard was not only used by the German National People's Party but also on several other occasions.
