WOMEN WORKING for YOU
This series is also known as 'Women Working for You' and is one of my favorite series of German postcards, however at US$35 to US$75 per card, collecting the complete series can be expensive. The cards show different scenes of women at work. As the war progressed German men were forced more and more into the military, leaving many vital jobs back home with no workers to fill them. To fill the gap forced labour was increasingly used as was the use of women to perform many jobs that were typically performed by men.
The cards that I have seen are numbered 649 to 668, and I believe that 20 cards is the complete series .
