DER SANITÄTSHUND IN FELDE
(THE MEDICAL DOG IN THE FIELD)
This series of 10 postcards features the work of the Medical Dog in the field. The cards were published by Kunstverlagsanstalt G. Stalling of oldenburg and the set is entitled "DER SANITÄTSHUND IN FELDE" or 'THE MEDICAL DOG IN ThE FIELD'. Each card depicts a medical dog in action. There are two different designs: Type 1 with the main title "WOHLFAHRTS-POSTKARTE' on the reverse and Type 2 with a "Postkarte" inscription.
TYPE 1
No. 1
The first card is simple titled "DEUTSHCER SCHÄFERHUND" or 'GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG'.
No. 2
This next card is titled "Der Sanitätshund beim Auffinden eines Verwundeten." - 'The medical dog finding a wounded man.'
No. 3
This third card bears the sub-title "Der vom Sanitätshund aufgestoberte Verwundete wird vom Führer des Hundes verbunden" - 'The wounded man picked up by the medical dog is bandaged by the dog's handler.'

This fourth card bears the sub-title "Transport des vom Sanitätshund aufgestöberten verbundeten" - 'Transport of the wounded man that was found by the medical dog.'

The fifth card bears the sub-title "Sanitätshund fuhrer und Sanitätshund geleiten einem Verwundeten zum Verbandsplatz" - 'Medical dog's handler and the medical dog escort the wounded man to the first aid station'

This card is titled "Ein von Sanitätshund in einem vergessenen Geländewinkel entdeckter Schwer Verwundeter auf dem Wege ins Feldlazarett" - 'A seriously wounded man is discovered by the medical dog in a forgotten corner of the battle field on the way to the field hospital'.

This next card bears the sub-title "Der Sanitätshund auf der Spur eines Verwundeten." - 'The medical dog on the trail of a wounded man.'

This third card bears the sub-title "Der Sanitätshund auf der Suche nach Verwundeten." - 'The medical dog looking for the wounded.'

This fourth card bears the sub-title "Der Sanitätshund entdeckt in einer Wolfsgrube einen Verwundeten" - 'The medical dog discovers a wounded man in a fox hole.'

The fifth card bears the sub-title "Der Sanitätshund hat in der Einsamkeit der Schneefelder einen Verwundeten gefunden." - 'The medical dog has found a wounded man in the loneliness of the snowfields..'
