LERNT DEUTSCHLAND KENNEN!
P304
CODE 41-185-1-B4
The first Hitler series of Get to Know Germany appeared in Nov 1941 and is referred to as P304. In this series the green tones, images and text colour are again replaced with brown tones and the stamp reverts to 6 Rpf although now with a portrait of Hitler instead of Hindenburg. 8 sets of 9 cards each were printed at the Berlin State Printing Works leading to a total of 72 different cards. All 72 cards have the 'Lernt Deutschland Kennen!' heading.
These German printings can be easily identified as the sender's and receiver's address has the full 'Hausnummer' and 'Postschlieβfachnummer' whereas the later Austrian printings P305 have an abbreviated 'Haus-Nr' and 'Postschlieβfach-Nr'.
