BACKGROUND: Card 35-54-1-B6 was issued in Apr 1935 and features an image of Wildbad (renamed Bad Wildbad in 1991, where 'Bad' is the German word for 'Bath') in the Black Forest. The card is inscribed as follows:



"Wildbad im Schwarzwald, | berühmtes Thermalbad gegen Rheuma, Gicht, Ischias | Herrlicher Luftkurort 430-750 m ü.d.M"

"Wildbad in the Black Forest, | famous thermal bath for rheumatism, gout, sciatica | Wonderful climatic health resort 430-750 m above sea level"

DOMESTIC USAGE

1. The following postally useed example was sent from HAMBURG to a doctor in BERLIN-DAHLEM. The sender was a medical supplies company "Chinosol Fabrik | Aktiengesellschaft | NÜRNBURG-BILLBROOK". Chinosol is an anti-fungal fungicide which is no longer available, today's equivalent would likely be something like Hydroxyquinoline.




2. The next postally used example was sent from NÜRNBURG (240Km east of Wildbad) to STUTTGART (70Km east of Wildbad) on Monday 8th Apr 1934.
