BACKGROUND: Card 35-53-1-B5 was issued in Apr 1934 and features an image of the spa town of Bad Salzschlirf. Bad Salzschlirf is a municipality with a spa in the Fulda district of eastern Hesse. Local remedies include mineral baths, brine baths, mud baths and mud packs. Until about 1985, the bathing peat was obtained from the Red Moor in the Rhön. The card is inscribed as follows:
