GET TO KNOW GERMANY
THE SECOND HINDENBURG SERIES
P231 / 01

The second Hindenburg series of Get to Know Germany appeared in early 1934 and are refered to as P231 in the Michel series. This series comprises only 9 different cards, all with the 'Lernt Deutschland Kennen!' heading and 6Rpf pre-printed Hindenburg stamp. This series is distinquished by a somewhat shorter tail to the 'e' in 'Postkarte'. Series three has an even shorter tail to the 'e'.

The inscription below the image reads "Ostseebad Arendsee (Meckl) - See und Waldluftkurort"

'Baltic Sea resort of Arendsee (Meckl) - lake and forest health resort'. P231/01 has the forest on the right-hand side.
