THIRD EBERT SERIES
P189 / 05

The third Ebert series of postcards appeared in 1930 and are refered to as P189 in the Michel series. This series comprises a total of 61 different cards. Cards of the third Ebert series differ from the first and second series by:

(1) The picture of the scene is now a photograph rather than a line drawing and
(2) There is a brief description of the scene beneath the photograph
(3) There is still no 'Lernt Deutschland Kennen!' title.

P189 / 05 features the city of BOCHOLT located in Westmünsterland in the northwest of North Rhine-Westphalia. Bocholt is the second largest German city on the German-Dutch border.

The inscription below the image of the historic town hall reads "Hauptsitz der westmünsterlichen Textilindustrie" - 'Headquarters of the Westmunster textile industry'
