Issued 1927 and the only series of pre-'Lernt Deutschland Kennen!' to feature a Friedrich von Schiller stamp. This is the eigth of 10 different postcards all with an artist's, hand-drawn image on the left pane, and a 5 Rpf Schiller stamp on the right.

'Baltic Sea resort Sellin, the pearl of the island of Rügen'
Sellin is a municipality on the Island of Rügen, in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. The picture depicts the Sellin pier, the longest pier on Rügen at 394 metres. First mentions of Sellin date to 1295. From 1880 on, the town gained importance as a Baltic Sea spa town. In 1992, Sellin Pier was rebuilt and was officially opened on 2 April 1998.
