FELDPOSTKARTE - FIELD POSTCARD
K/10957

This series of postcards features a blue/grey border that consists of 3 parallel lines. In the bottom left-hand corner is the printer's code K/10957. Below the central dividing line are the letters 'ZB' in a circle. The cards each feature the title "FELD-POSTKARTE" also in grey/blue text. The cards are not numbered.

No. 1

The card below features three soldiers marching with their rifles over their shoulders and the text:

Und setzet ihr nicht das

No. 2

The next card depicts a German tank on the move. The text reads:

Aber weiche opfer auch
von Einzelnen gefordert
werden mögen, sie wiegen
die heiligen Güter nicht auf,
für die wor sie hingeben,
für die wir streiten und siegen
müssen, wenn wir nicht aufhören wollen, Preuβen und
Deutsche zu sein.

The next card depicts a Steel helmet, iron cross medal, sword, oak and laurel leaves. The text reads:

Nur in der eigenen kraft

The next card depicts a German soldier holding a sword. The text reads:

Die zeit ist euer;
was sie sein wird,
wird sie durch euch sein.

The time is yours; whatever it will be, it will be through you.

No. 5

This card depicts a German eagle standing on toip of the ramparts of a castle. The text reads:

Die freiheit ist der höchste;
im Leben dem Menschen
gestellte zweck.

Freedom is the highest purpose given to man in life.

No. 6

Another eagle is featured on this card, this time with an Iron Cross in the background. The text reads:

Jedes volk hat seinen tag
in der Geschichte,
doch der tag der Deutschen
ist die ERnte der ganzen zeit.

Every people has its day in history, but the day of the Germans is the harvest of all time.

No. 7

The text reads:

Um Erfolge zu erreichen,
muβ etwas gewagt werden.

"To achieve success, you have to take a risk"

No. 8

This card features an eagle standing on a sword with a sun rising in the background. The text reads:

Von der Sklaverei fremder
herrschaft kann eine
Nation sich nicht durch künste
oder Wissenschaft loskaufen,
ins wilde Element der kampfes
muβ sie sich werfen, tausend
Leben gegen tausendsachen
Gewin des Lebens einsetzen.

A nation cannot buy its freedom from the slavery of foreign rule through art or science; it must throw itself into the wild element of battle, staking a thousand lives against a thousand things for the gain of life.

No. 9

This card features a babies crib surrounded by a laurel wreath. The text reads:

In unseren kindern
wird die heimat
ihre wahre Grösse
finden.

In our children the homeland will find its true greatness
