1888-1913 KAISER WILHELM II

BACKGROUND: This series of 3 postcards was published to commemorate the silver Jubilee of Kaiser Wilhelm II who was German kaiser from 1888 until 1918.

The seven variations of these cards are as follows:

PP27-C-241: 5Pf GERMANIA - 3 Versions
PP32-C-34: 10Pf GERMANIA - 2 Versions

3Pf GERMANIA

There are two versions of the 3Pf Germania card, the difference being in the decoration that runs around the outside of the card.

PP27-C-241
5Pf GERMANIA

There are three versions of the 5Pf Germania postcard, the differences being in the decoration that runs around the edge of the card.

PP27-C-241/01 - With decoration

PP27-C-241/02 - Without decoration

PP27-C-241/03 - without decoration but with "Postkarte" spelt incorrectly

In this version of the 5Pf card there was a spelling error of the word "Posttkarte" (with an extra 't') instead of "Postkarte".

10Pf GERMANIA

There are two versions of the 10Pf Germania card, the difference being in the decoration that runs around the edge of the card.
