BACKGROUND: This postcard was also published to commemorate the visit of Duke Ernst August and Duchess Viktoria Luise to Braunsweig on 3rd Nov 1913.

There were two versions of this card, the difference being in the type of card used in their manufacture:

PP27-D-11/01: Produced on regular card.
PP27-D-11/02: Produced on chalk board card.


SONDERSTEMPEL: There was a special cancel available inscribed "BRAUNSCHWEIG | EINZUG | DES | HERZOGPAARES (3.11.13)"
