BACKGROUND: This official festival postcard was published to commemorate The 'Coburg Home Festival' of 1910. the card was published by Verlag von Aug Hermann of Coburg and has a pre-printed 5Pf Germania stamp. The image on the card shows Germania to the left holding a small version of Morizkirche (Stadtkirche St. Moriz) a protestant church dedicated to Saint Maurice in the city of Coburg in her right hand, and a wreath in her left. The building on top of the hill is 'Veste Coburg', a well-known medieval fortress pearched above the city.
The banner along the bottom has an image of a black female head, the patron saint of Coburg, which is also on the city's Coat of Arms.
