22nd GERMAN PHILATELIST'S DAY
(12th/16th Aug 1910)
BACKGROUND: This series of postcards was published by Geliefert von Meisenbach Riffarth & Co. of Schöneberg, Berlin to commemorate two concurrent events: The 22nd German Philatelist's Day and the 14th Bundestag of German and Austrian Philatelic Associations, held in the port city of KIEL from 12th to 16th Aug 1910.
There were five different designs and each design had a 3Pf Germania (PP23-C-10/01 to -/05), a 5Pf Germania (PP27-C-99/01 to -/05) or a 10Pf Germania (PP32-C-5/01 to -/05) pre-printed stamp, for a total of 15 different cards. Most, if not all, of these cards can also be found without a pre-printed stamp.
PP23-C-12/01 to /05: 3Pf Germania pre-printed stamp.
PP27-C-117/01 to /05: 5Pf Germania pre-printed stamp.
PP32-C-8/01 to /05: 10Pf Germania pre-printed stamp.
A set of cards consisting of one each of the three denominations, regardless of the image on the back, cost 90Pf at the time, pre-cancelled cost 1 Mark. The 5Pf card alone cost 30Pf unused and 40Pf cancelled. In addition Some of the PP27-C-99 cards can be found with a greeting from a company named Sellschopp. For the PP20-C-10 cards, they can also be found with a greeting from either Sellschopp or Krötzsch.
As well as the 1910 issued cards there was a 1990's reprint of at least one of these cards published to commemorate 100 years of postage stamps in Keil.
SONDERSTEMPEL: There was a special cancel used during the event inscribed "KIEL | XXII | DEUTSCHER | PHILATEL.TAG"

1990's RE-PRINT
The following re-print was published to commemorate 100 years of postage stamps in Keil. This example is the fourth card but I don't know if any of the other cards were similarly re-printed for this occasion or not.
