19th GERMAN PHILATELIST'S DAY
(24th/26th Aug 1907)

BACKGROUND: In total there were at least 126 different postcards published to commemorate the 19th German Philatelist's Day, held in Hamburg from 24th to 26th Aug 1907. There were 42 postcards with a 3Pf Germania pre-printed stamp (PP23-C-7/01 to /42) as well as another 42 postcards with a 5Pf Germania pre-printed stamp (PP27-C-77/01 to /42). In addition to these postcards there are a further 42 without pre-printed stamps.

The cards all feature different combinations of value stamp, scenery and Hamburg private stamp on the reverse, as well as either "Postkarte" or "Drucksache"
