Between 1906 and 1920 there were 42 different cards classified under the prefix PZP. These were Official postcards with a single Germania pre-printed stamp inscribed "DEUTSCHES REICH", but now privately printed with one or more additional Germania pre-printed stamps.

This replycard is based on official postcard P112. This card features a green 20Pf and an orange 7½Pf Germania pre-printed stamp.

In order to meet the new postal rate of 30½Pf PZP 25 was to be created by printing 2 value stamps (2½ and 20 or 7½ and 15Pf). Because of the vertical dividing line, only one additional stamp could be pre-printed. As the stocks of pre-printed 2½Pf cards had been used up, 3Pf stamps were glued on both parts, but they were only charged at 2½Pf. This was how the postage rate of 30½ pfennigs was achieved. The entire edition of PZP25 was used up by the client and these items are very rare.
