WÜRTTEMBERG 1st and LAST STAMPS #2

BACKGROUND: There were four postcards: 2Pf Germania PP20-C-15, 3Pf Germania PP23-C-4, 5Pf Germania PP27-C-73 and a 10Pf Germania PP32-C-3, each with several variants, to commemorate two events from 1806-1906: The 100th Anniversary of Württemberg and Württemberg's first and last stamp issue.

On the top are 3 stamps: a 1 Kreuzer, 3 Kreuzer and 10Pf stamp. Below that are four oval shaped medallions (arranged in an arc), each with a Württemberg monarch's portrait inside. Below the portraits is a castle.

Published by Karl Weller of Stuttgart (see inscription along left-hand side. This inscription can run from top to bottom of from top to bottom).

PP20-C-15/02: grey kings and castle, reverse side blank.



PP20-C-15/03: brown kings and castle, reverse side with grey coat of arms and dark lion.


PP20-C-15/04: brown kings and castle, reverse side with grey coat of arms and light lion.


PP20-C-15/05: grey kings and castle, reverse side with grey coat of arms and dark lion.


PP20-C-15/06: grey kings and castle, reverse side with grey coat of arms and light lion.

There are five versions of this card:
PP23-C-4/01: reverse side blank without coat of arms.


PP23-C-4/02: reverse side black coat of arms with light lion.


PP23-C-4/03: reverse side black coat of arms with dark lion.


PP23-C-4/04: reverse side brown coat of arms with light lion.



PP23-C-4/05: reverse side brown coat of arms with dark lion.

There are seven versions of this card:
PP27-C-73/01: reverse side blank, without coat of arms.



PP27-C-73/02: small black coat of arms (30mm) with light lion.


PP27-C-73/03: large black coat of arms (35mm) with dark lion.



PP27-C-73/04: small grey coat of arms with light lion.


PP27-C-73/05: large grey coat of arms with dark lion.



PP27-C-73/06: small green coat of arms with light lion.

There are five versions of this card:
PP32-C-3/01: reverse side blank, without coat of arms.



PP32-C-3/02: red coat of arms with light lion.


PP32-C-3/03: red coat of arms with dark lion.


PP32-C-3/04: black coat of arms with light lion.


PP32-C-3/05: black coat of arms with dark lion.
