BACKGROUND: Visit of Kaiser Wilhelm II and Empress Auguste Victoria to Altona and Hamburg.

The reverse of the card has the following text in the top left-hand corner:

There are two versions of this card. On the reverse side of the card the first version has "Postkarte" in lighter text and is without the word "An". The second version has bolder text and now has the word "An",
