Issued in 1903, this Ruhrpost envelope is the second of three Ruhrpost envelopes to feature a 30Pf Germania stamp inscribed "DEUTSCHES REICH", the others being the 1902 RU5 and the 1912 issue RU7. These envelopes measure 126 x 81mm and for RU6 the lower flap is over the side flaps.
