BACKGROUND: This the first of two Ahrle designed stamps issued in Jun 1944 to commemorate the Exhibition of the R.A.D (Reichs Arbeit’s Dienst) or German Labour Service . The stamps were printed recess at the Berlin State Printing Works. The stamp depicts a member of the R.A.D in his uniform.
