HINDENBURG MEDALLION III
BACKGROUND: This was a re-issue of the Hindenburg Medallions II series from earlier in the year, but now with Swastika watermark and perf K14:14¼. The 1Rpf was a new value necessitated by the change in postal tariffs. As these stamps were produced over a long period of time, they do show significant variations in colour and shade.

The booklets are more easily distinquished from the sheets when they exist as se-tenants with two different value stamps attached or if the values are the same but one of the stamps is inverted.
