BACKGROUND: I'm not sure what this postcard was intended to commemorate but the inscription on the bottom left-hand border reads "Lustige Fahrt" or 'fun ride'

SONDERSTEMPEL:

Although issued somewhere around 1927 the example below was only cancelled in 1966, a full 40 years later. The green 5 Rpf pre-printed Schiller stamp was obviously no longer valid so the sender has applied a valid 20 Pf self-adhesive stamp to cover the postage.
