DIE DEUTSCHE BRIEFMARKE NATIONALE AUSSTELLUNG
NATIONAL EXHIBITION of GERMAN POSTAGE STAMPS
(6th/8th Apr 1937)
BACKGROUND: Issued to celebrate the 1937 National Exhibition of the German Postage Stamp held in Berlin from 6th to 8th April 1938. This was a series of 10 different postcards each depicting a different German stamp.
1. PP122-C-48 pre-printed 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp.
2. PP126-C-20 pre-printed 5Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp.
3. PP132-C-1 1Rpf Hindenburg Medallion and a 4Rpf Hindenburg Medallion.
4. PP133-C-1 1Rpf Hindenburg Medallion and a 5Rpf Hindenburg Medallion.
5. PP134-C-1 two 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamps.
6. PP135-C-1 three 1Rpf Hindenburg Medallion pre-printed stamps.
7. PP136-C-1 2x 1Rpf and a 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion pre-printed stamps.
8. PP137-C-1 2x 1Rpf and a 4Rpf Hindenburg Medallion pre-printed stamp.
9. PP142-C-11 5Rpf Luftpost pre-printed stamp.
10. PP145-C-3 1Rpf Hindenburg Medallion and a 5Rpf Luftpost pre-printed stamp.
SONDERSTEMPEL: A special handstamp was available inscribed "BERLIN W62 | Nationale Ausstellung 1937 | Die | Deutsche | Briefmarke | 16.-18.4.1937" that was available throughout the exhibiition. There are eight versions with counter letters 'a' to 'h'. More details here
