GERMAN EMERGENCY AID
8 Rpf + 4 Rpf

Issued 1st Jul 1931. Special postcard to raise funds for German Emergency Aid, similar to the 1930 issue P210. The value stamp features the Wall pavillion of the Dresden Zwinger (a building complex with gardens in Dresden). Decorative border.

There are two versions of this postcard:

1. This following P212-II postcard was cancelled in SENFTENBURG in Southern Brandenburg on 11th Nov 1931 and was destined for the city of ERFURT.

1. The P212 postcard below was sent from BERLIN SW to BERN in SWITZERLAND on 31st Aug 1932. To cover the international postage a 4 Rpf and a 5 Rpf self-adhesive stamp has been added for a total of 17 Rpf.

1. Posted in PLAUEN on 15th Nov 1931 this foreign used card was sent to an address in NEW YORK, U.S.A. The card was correctly franked with 15 Rpf.

2. The next example was posted in HAMBURG on 17th Nov 1931 and feature a slogan cancellation inscribed "Verwende Wohlfahrtsbriefmarken!" - 'Use welfare stamps!'.
